Abstract


Abstract: Food system is unsustainable due to its complexity at world level  and because of that it’s extremely vulnerable to any climatic, socio-economic, political or financial crisis. The necessity to implement new strategies to accommodate population needs and well-being to the continuous change brings into attention new sustainable diets, with low-input. The aim of the study was to present the mineral composition total antioxidant capacity as well as the benefits of using a new formula of protein bars, made of honey, mint, soya, pumpkin and sesame seeds. This food formula offers the option to profoundly change consumers food strategy and to promote fair, culturally-appropriated, biodiversity-based, ecofriendly, sustainable diets.
