ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL EVOLUTION OF HUNEDOARA COUNTY BETWEEN 2013 AND 2023
Abstract
The paper “Economic and social evolution of Hunedoara County between 2013 and 2023” aims to highlight the main economic and social transformations that have marked the evolution of the county. The analysis is based on quantitative statistical data from official sources, providing a complex picture of regional development processes. The research is structured on two major directions: the economic and social dimensions. On the social level, the study addresses aspects related to demographic evolution, the migration phenomenon, the educational level and the health status of the population, emphasizing the impact of youth migration on local human capital and on sustainable development prospects. Although Hunedoara County has made visible progress in diversifying its economy and modernizing its infrastructure, important challenges persist regarding reducing unemployment, integrating young people into the labor market, and reducing social and economic imbalances between the different areas of the county.
