Abstract

This paper focuses on a new trend in tourism-touristification. It provides a synthesis of the various definitions of this phenomenon, several types of classification of touristification, a list of areas/countries/localities affected by touristification, and two extended lists of both positive and negative effects/impacts of touristification. The paper addresses Romanian tourism operators and aims at raising awareness among them in relation to touristification.
