Abstract

Optimization of sow reproduction can be done by implementing measures to improve individual productions by obtaining superior reproduction indicators and an increased number of piglets per sow per year. In order to reduce the number of non-productive days, more attention should be paid to the nutrition of the sows depending on the physiological stage, the early control of the gestation, the reduction in the weaning age of the piglets. In order to obtain the planned commercial piglets productions it is necessary to implement in the professional reproduction swine farms some measures that stimulate the appearance of puberty in the reproductive females, the induction and synchronization of the estrus in sows, the induction and synchronization of the ovulations, the early control of the gestation in order to increase the production of meat obtained per sow per year.
