COMMUNICATION IN SMALL GROUPS

Abstract


The last decades have seen a plethora of books and scientific articles on communication, in general, and on communication in small groups, in particular. Group and small group, as well as communication in small groups, have been defined in a variety of ways. However, a few issues seem to focus the particular attention of scientists: features of group, types of group, group roles, group norms, group leadership, group talk, and cultural features of communication in small groups. This paper analyses the features of communication in small groups from these perspectives.
