THE CHARACTERISTICS OF MULTI-ANNUAL REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR FUNDING RURAL AREA

Abstract


The problem of rural area’s financing and of its specific activities is not a new one. Over time, identifying funding sources for the rural environment has been a current topic, and the issue of European funding are a subject that is still debated. European funds are an important catalyst for the development of the village and the rural environment, with all its related components, in sustainable conditions, reason why this paper addresses a topical/actual theme. The present thesis does not aim to solve the problems of financing from rural area, but only to attract attention and stimulate the interest for this topical theme. The purpose of the thesis is to: highlight that European funds represent an alternative to solve many problems regarding rural area; European funds are the main catalyst for the achievement of the rural development objective.
