TYPES OF FARM ACTIVITIES SPECIFIC TO EDUCATIONAL RURAL TOURISM
Abstract
Educational rural farm tourism aims to make public the life and activity of farmers and to create a picture of the agro-technological sector for urban consumers, but also for young people from rural areas, for whom agriculture, country life, traditions and customs must be reinvented for the purpose of sustainable rural development of the rural area. All farm activities specific to educational rural tourism must be integrated into a public regional educational strategy, which to have as purpose the education of pupils, young people and old people and how these goals can be achieved. Educational rural tourism has a wide variety of agro-technological activities at the farm, ranging from actual classes or short-term workshops to full-time practical courses in school farms for high school students or students trained in plant or animal resources. The educational activities that can be organized on the farm are the courses of preparing food, preparing remedies from medicinal herbs, preparing fruit drinks, familiarizing with agricultural and livestock machinery, feeding animals, traditional milk preparation, tasting of products obtained on the farm.
